Takedown tools are powerful, and misusing them harms creators, critics and the public. This policy sets out what we won’t do and what we expect from anyone who uses contentsafer.com or our services.
We will not file notices to
- remove criticism, negative reviews, journalism, commentary or parody that is lawful;
- silence whistleblowers, activists or political speech;
- target content the requester does not own or isn’t authorised to enforce;
- suppress competitors’ lawful products, comparative advertising or genuine second-hand sales;
- remove information that the law requires to remain public.
You must not
- submit reports you know to be false, or impersonate a rights holder;
- use our forms to send spam, malware or harassing content;
- probe, scan or test the security of our systems without written permission;
- scrape the website or overload it with automated requests;
- use our name or logo to suggest an endorsement or partnership that doesn’t exist.
Enforcement
We may decline or end an engagement, withdraw notices and block access to our website if this policy is breached. Where a report was made in bad faith, we may share information with affected parties or authorities.
